Nicola Cattle (London, England) - Owner/Master Esthetician
Nicola Cattle is a Master Esthetician and owner of Nicola of London Body and Skin Care in McLean, Virginia. Originally from England, Ms. Cattle is a CIDESCO Diplomat — the highest qualification worldwide in the field of esthetics.
After training at Champney's College of Health and Beauty outside of London, Nicola spent 18 months working as a face and body therapist at Champney's Resort in Hertfordshire, England. From there, she went to work with a dermatologist in private practice on Harley Street in London. She spent four years working with the dermatologist as well as with a plastic surgeon combining esthetic treatments with traditional dermatological treatments to provide advanced care to patients. It was here that Nicola gained extensive experience working with severe acne conditions.
In 1980, Nicola moved to Washington, DC, where she worked as a senior esthetician in a full-service salon. From there she went on to manage a skin care salon at
Ganelle in McLean. She opened Nicola of London in 1987.
Nicola has also served on the Board of International Estheticians Symposiums and has had articles published in national industry publications. She attends future education seminars and classes on an annual basis. Nicola is always excited to bring new products and treatments to our clientele in an ever changing industry.
Claude Nasr (Lebanon) - Master Esthetician
Claude Nasr was born in Lebanon and lived there until age 22. She attended the Milo Institute in Lebanon where she graduated in 1995. Claude then worked as an esthetician for a year specializing in European facials, professional makeup, electrolysis and massage therapy. She learned lymphatic drainage techniques and slimming treatments.
Claude later opened her own skin care clinic in 1997 in Lebanon. She managed her time between her spa and marketing for Tamer Group, a cosmetic company, for three years.
In 2000 Claude moved to the United States. She joined Nicola of London in February 2002. She really enjoys working with pre- and post-surgical patients, which allows her to utilize her specialization in lymph drainage. Claude is excited about helping people achieve the skin care results they desire. This is one reason Claude also likes working with the Slimline machine, which tones muscles to create a firm and lifted appearance as well as increases lymph drainage.
Claude continues her education by participating in classes to learn the latest beauty and skin care techniques, such as treatments for Rosacea and new peel techniques with PCA. She looks forward to meeting you and discussing your skin care concerns so that she can work out the best treatment plans possible.
Shekara Smith - Senior Esthetician
Shekara Smith was born in Silver Spring, Maryland and is a native to the DMV. She graduated from James Hubery Blake High School in 2011. She attended Montgomery College after graduation and worked as a preschool teacher, cultivating invaluable skills and patience in active listening. These skills seamlessly translate into exceptional client interactions.
In 2020 Shekara decided to pursue her passion and enrolled in the Esthetic Institute in Vienna, Virginia. Esthetics has always held a special place in her heart, inspired by her mother's battle with adult acne and her own battle with eczema. After graduating from The Esthetic Institute, she explored different areas within the industry. This included positions at European Wax Center, med spa's and traditional day spas. Shekara loved facials!! She continues to work part-time at a waxing center, with 2 years of experience making her a proficient master waxer.
Shekara's true passion lies in diverse facial experiences and she's excited about the many different modalities that are used at Nicola of London. Her focus centers on creating an atmosphere of calmness and tranquility, while educating clients on effective treatments and homecare practices. Her expertise is in acne, hyperpigmentation, peels and waxing.
We were thrilled to have Shekara join Nicola of London in December, 2023. She is dedicated to top notch treatments and exceptional customer service. She looks forward to meeting and serving you all.
Susie Donohoe - Bookkeeper
Susie is the dedicated bookkeeper of Nicola of London, bringing organization, and a passion for supporting the company. Originally from California, she moved to Washington, D.C., at the age of eight and later graduated from McLean High School before earning her degree in Economics from the University of Virginia.
Before joining the team at Nicola of London, Susie built a career in mortgage banking. A loyal client since 1988, she developed a deep appreciation for the salon’s services and maintaining excellent skincare regimen
.
Outside of work, Susie enjoys exploring the world through travel and capturing life’s moments through photography. Her blend of professional expertise, personal connection, and bookkeeping acumen made her a perfect fit and an invaluable part of the Nicola of London family.
